Cycling for Good 2025 supports TISCHLEIN DECK DICH
Cycling for Good (C4G) is an initiative of UBS employees to take their bikes and cross the Alps starting in Munich and ending in Padua over 5 days (680km; 11,700 meters climbing). Participants from Switzerland will ride and collect charity donations for TISCHLEIN DECK DICH.
According to the United Nation 2024 food wast report" food wast results in the throwing away of more than US$1 trillion worth of food every year. Food waste
generates an estimated 8–10 per cent of global greenhouse gas emissions and it takes up the equivalent of nearly 30 per cent of the world’s agricultural land."
"In Switzerland, 2.8 million tons of perfectly good food are destroyed annually. At the same time, 8.2% of the population lives in poverty, and according to the Federal Statistical Office, more than one in six people are at risk of poverty - that's a total of around 1.34 million people."
In 2024, TISCHLEIN DECK DICH distributed a total of 8,000 tons of food using 162 distribution locations [1].
While TISCHLEIN DECK DICH works together with 4,500 volunteers, your financial support enables them to fund their seven logistic centers, 31 refrigerated trucks, and 33 full-time employees.

Tischlein deck dich rettet Lebensmittel vor der Vernichtung und verteilt sie an armutsbetroffene Menschen in der ganzen Schweiz und im Fürstentum Liechtenstein. Woche für Woche erreichen wir an unseren 165 Abgabestellen und indirekt über andere Lebensmittelhilfen über 40’000 Menschen in Not. Wir leisten damit einen sozial sinnvollen und ökologisch nachhaltigen Beitrag zum respektvollen Umgang mit Lebensmitteln. Tischlein deck dich ist kein Selbstzweck, sondern Mittel zum Zweck. Unsere Vision ist, dass es uns irgendwann nicht mehr braucht – dass es weder Lebensmittelverschwendung noch armutsbetroffene Menschen in der Schweiz gibt.
