Together Against Food Waste – A Volunteering Day with Madame Frigo

Are you interested in a team day that connects, inspires, and creates real impact? Then we warmly invite you to a Volunteering Day with Madame Frigo, focusing on the themes of food waste prevention and resource protection.

We will begin by delving deeper into the topic: With an interactive presentation, a quiz, and an open discussion, we will make food waste tangible – and demonstrate how everyone can personally become part of the solution.

Following this, we will head outdoors in small teams. Your employees will take control of and clean our public refrigerators and their units. Through this hands-on contribution, they will support our dedicated volunteer teams and ensure that our fridges are sparkling clean. This enables valuable food to continue being exchanged and food waste to be reduced every day.

Our Volunteering Day can be held in the cities of Zurich, Lucerne, and Bern.

  • Approximately 30-minute presentation
  • Interactive quiz

  • Short break and division into small groups for the activity

10:05 to 12:00 Frigo Cleaning in Small Groups

  • Inspection and cleaning of public refrigerators
  • Cleaning of fridge units
  • Before-and-after documentation

In collaboration with Ässbar, we offer a Food-Save Catering either at lunch or in the afternoon, following the activity. The catering includes both sweet and savory options, as well as vegetarian choices, all prepared from rescued food.
