Corporate Volunteering at the Clothing Distribution Center

About the event

The Clothing Distribution Center in Emmen (LU) processes and sorts 850 tons of textiles annually, ensuring their continued use. Join forces with your team and get to know this inspiring social project firsthand.

During a corporate volunteering assignment with your employees, you’ll be actively involved in the daily operations of the center. Together with staff members, you’ll sort clothing and shoes. In addition to used textiles, new items are also sorted, packed, and stored. Participants are divided into small groups, each supported and guided by the center's staff. A small group may also have the opportunity to assist the sales team.

You’ll also gain valuable insights into topics such as poverty, sustainability, and social integration.

We are happy to tailor the day’s schedule to your needs. Half-day, full-day, or multi-day assignments in small groups are all possible.

In addition to event costs, companies contribute a program donation that supports mountain farming families facing challenging living conditions. This donation enables the organization to assign individual volunteers to assist these families directly. A single program donation can support a farming family for about a month.

The event includes the following services:

• Welcome drink (coffee and croissants) / Group assignments

• Fruit aperitif with an expert talk about the center
