*Mountain volunteers: useful and rewarding commitments
Participating in a mountain volunteer commitment means giving of yourself physically to help mountain regions remain attractive and competitive; it means helping people who live in sometimes difficult conditions, while experiencing a human adventure that is often very enriching. These commitments, offered jointly by the SAB and Swiss Mountain Aid, are suitable for both individuals and groups from companies...
Program
8:30 a.m. Arrival
Welcome by the beneficiary, light refreshments, and explanation of the day's activities
9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Field mission
Our motto... moving mountains is only possible if we all work together!
Maintenance of pastures and wooded areas (stone removal, clearing, mowing or pulling up unwanted plants, collecting branches, installing fences, etc.)
Maintenance of hiking trails, creation and maintenance of recreation areas, dry stone walls, tree planting, removal of invasive plants, etc.

Our beneficiaries (the people who welcome you for this mission) offer you the main meal in exchange for a day's volunteer work. They are not restaurant owners (for specific diets, we suggest you bring your own lunch).
Equipment
The beneficiary shall provide the necessary tools, equipment, and supplies.
All participants must wear sturdy shoes, work gloves, and clothing suitable
for the weather conditions.
