Community Centre
BAAS is a non-profit and independent organization that
supports people who have fled their homes. Our work is
politically independent, transparently financed, and supported by
donations.
Since summer 2022, BAAS has been operating a community center in Ioannina, Greece. The center is a meeting place for refugees from Ioannina and the surrounding area.

well as for the local population. The aim of the project is to
refugees access to legal advice, language courses, IT
training, and social and creative activities.

General tasks as a volunteer
Leading social activities with people in the
Community Center
Accompanying people (welcoming them, explaining
offers, recording their needs, etc.)
Helping to develop technical solutions, e.g.,
in the design of the
Community Center
Helping in the Free Market and the Clothes Shop.
General
Mindestens 6 Wochen Einsatz vor Ort.
BAAS provides accommodation, but volunteers must cover their own living and travel
expenses.

Unsere Arbeit ist politisch unabhängig, transparent finanziert und durch Spenden getragen. Lokalisiert ist BAAS in der ganzen Schweiz, grossteils in den Regionen Basel, Bern und Zürich vertreten.
