Animation and AI Bootcamp

Join Eden-Well in empowering youth in Lausanne through creativity and technology. We are hosting an exclusive 4-day “Animation and AI Bootcamp,” led by Hollywood animation director Jamy Wheless, known for bringing Yoda to life in Star Wars and contributing to films like The Hulk and Pirates of the Caribbean.

This initiative will bring together 20 young participants (ages 15–25) from diverse backgrounds, including Swiss locals, migrants, and refugees. Working in intercultural teams, they will gain hands-on experience with industry-standard 3D tools like Autodesk Maya and explore cutting-edge generative AI to create their own animated short films.

The Digital Divide and Unequal Opportunities: High-level technology education, especially in cutting-edge fields like Generative AI and 3D animation, is often prohibitively expensive and inaccessible. Migrant, refugee, and low-income youth are systematically excluded from these learning opportunities, putting them at a severe disadvantage in the modern job market and limiting their chances to escape poverty.

Social Segregation and Isolation: In our communities, local Swiss youth and young refugees or migrants often live in parallel worlds. There is a lack of structured, engaging environments where these groups can meet, collaborate as equals, and overcome cultural prejudices or language barriers.

The Epidemic of Passive Screen Time: Today’s youth spend an enormous amount of time passively consuming digital content, such as social media, videos, and gaming. This constant consumption can negatively impact their mental well-being, increase isolation, and waste their creative potential, leaving them unprepared to actively shape the digital world they live in.

Our Impact & Mission

Digital Inclusion: We equip underprivileged youth with in-demand technology skills, creating real pathways to employment and financial independence.

Social Cohesion: By bringing together local and refugee youth in collaborative teams, we promote meaningful intercultural exchange, mutual understanding, and teamwork.

From Consumers to Creators: We empower young people to move beyond passive screen time and actively create, innovate, and shape the digital future.

Eden-Well
