Women For Freedom was founded on 22 January 2014 by seven founding members. Their dream is to create a new style of effective and efficient humanitarian action: a streamlined structure, minimal management costs, projects carried out with local partners that aim at the self-development of beneficiaries. A positive communication approach that awakens the desire for rights and freedom for women, girls and boys. Women For Freedom is an association based on volunteering and participation.
The fundamental steps of our work:
Listen
We begin each project with a listening and research phase, which establishes a transparent and constructive relationship with local entities in order to identify real and pressing needs.
Presence
We choose an active presence on the field in order to maintain an open and active dialogue with local realities and to activate projects that respond to radical and concrete needs.
Activation
We offer opportunities for social and economic growth through self-development and self-income generation programs to create sustainability over time and not “dependence on aid”.
Accompaniment
We support the complex path of self-determination for the full expression of women in the political, economic and social spheres so that they can become themselves “agents of change” for their country.

Women For Freedom ETS
Women For Freedom (WFF) is an independent, non-partisan, humanitarian organization founded to fight against the discrimination and exploitation of women and children in Italy and around the world. It was established in 2014 in Marostica (ITALY) by 4 friends who firmly believed that the freedom of women and children is a fundamental requirement for a better world. Since 2024 WFF is a recognized NGO for the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
WFF’s Mission:
• Provide protection, assistance, and rehabilitation to women and children who are victims of trafficking, human exploitation, violence, and poverty.
• Promote a culture of respect for human rights and children's rights.
WFF’s Vision:
To live in a world free from violence and the exploitation of the most vulnerable human beings—women and children.
WFF’s Values:
Humanity, freedom, autonomy, independence, and transparency.
Over the past nine years, the association has operated in Italy, India, Cameroon, Nepal, Bolivia, Togo, and Romania, implementing over 100 projects and supporting more than 120,000 women and children, primarily by combating social exclusion, human trafficking, prostitution, and domestic violence.
WFF's operational philosophy is to empower women and children, avoiding dependency on aid while providing them with the tools and skills needed to support a process of free and full self-determination. This approach aligns with the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
Current Focus Areas:
• Work and social reintegration for individuals in particularly vulnerable situations (Italy).
• Support for girls' education to counteract human trafficking, early marriages, and/or involvement in informal economic circuits (Nepal, India, Cameroon, Togo).
• Income-generating activities through microcredit initiatives and entrepreneurship training (Bolivia, Nepal, Cameroon).
• Hygiene education and healthcare access (Nepal, Cameroon).
