Grupo LatAm Christmas Fundraiser
Vivamos Mejor would like to build bridges together with you for socially disadvantaged people in Latin America. They mantain three programms called "bridge to school", "bridge to working life" and "bridge for food and water".
The LatAm team is very pleased to support Vivamos Mejor for the second time, this because of their great and important work. Vivamos Mejor celebrates its 40 anniversary.
It is still financially devastating for many people, especially for the poorest of the poor. People who have been living on their existential minimum are easily being forgotten considering the problems many face today. However, now, more than ever, there are children and parents who need our support. Parents lose their jobs; children may not go to school anymore, as they have to try to earn money for their families as they might go hungry if they do not. They are plagued by sickness due to lack of medical infrastructure. COVID-19 has increased mortality in many South American countries. As most of you have roots in South America, these problems do not hit far from home. Your fellow Latin Americans are crying for help: Vivamos Mejor!

Wow, the LatAm-Board did it again: With a total of CHF 6080, the donation target was exceeded for the second time in a row! A big thank you on behalf of the whole team and the beneficiaries in our project countries!
As some of you heard in Sabine Maier's presentation, many countries in Latin America are in great need of support. With your donations, we can on the one hand support where help is acutely needed: In Guatemala, for example, children and their families can be provided with balanced and healthy food packages and hygiene kits during the Corona crisis. However, it is also important to keep an eye on the long-term perspective, i.e. that young people in Colombia can continue their education, or that small children are lovingly supported in nurseries so that they can later develop their full potential and lead an independent life. With your contribution you are making a huge difference, muchísimas gracias!

Dear members of the "Grupo LatAm",
We have just found out that so far more than the expected goal has been donated and we are truly overwhelmed by your involvement! Thank you very much for your support, it is very motivating for us to see your solidarity with Latin America. Please find enclosed some recent impressions from the project in Bogotá Sabine Maier talked about in the call last week.
