How to be more interesting in emails and conversations, chrity lecture by prof Chris Korten
We use English to communicate with our colleagues and clients on a daily basis. Let’s skip the routine and improve our language skills to sound more professional and eloquent with some help from charismatic professor Christopher Korten.
More about the lecture:
There are two opportunities (linguistically speaking) to be interesting: when you ask a question and when you answer it. Most questions that are asked are rhetorical or run-of-the-mill (uninteresting). So too the answers to these mundane questions. This engaging seminar is going to challenge you to utilize your linguistic creativity (in English) to produce more refreshing questions when in email correspondence or in conversation. The second part of our seminar is devoted to how we answer questions – even the uninteresting ones. Offering a fresh perspective or providing a vivid example enlivens the exchange and will eventually create for you, more social cache.
