Support for Ukrainian Refugees in Poland
The existing crisis in Ukraine due to the Russian invasion, demands action and help for people from/in Ukraine. We can play our part to support by donating directly to the Polish Red Cross.
The Polish Red Cross is working in Ukraine and Poland to provide emergency assistance, including shelter, food, water, and other essential items and are also supporting healthcare facilities with medical equipment and emergency preparedness, repairing water stations, and helping separated families to reconnect.
We have set the funding goal from 20,000 to 12,000 because the situation in Moldova is also devastating and we are now setting up a new project with Nik Gugger for Moldova and collecting further donations.
Hundreds of thousands of people have left their homes and crossed into neighbouring countries.
The Polish Red Cross, with support from the IFRC (International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies), are assisting people leaving Ukraine with shelter, basic aid items and health services.
They are also supporting healthcare facilities with medical equipment and emergency preparedness, repairing water stations and helping separated families to reconnect.
The funds obtained will be allocated in the first place for purchase of food, dressings and other priority needs.
