For brighter future of children and young people in Teslic municipality
Our focus is on providing children and young people from our local community with quality non formal education they need. We help them understand their voices are just as important, they are being heard, seen, and most importantly, involved in the decision-making process. On the daily basis, we have more than 40 children and young people involved in structure activities and education session combined with free time just to have fun and relax. Annually, through the Youth center, we had over 1200 young people and kids in our center. The goal is to overcome social distancing caused by COVID-19 and current crisis that impact day-to-day lives of every family.
We noticed that a lot of children and young people aren’t taught basic skills they will need throughout their lives.
Our focus is on:
- Listening to them (their ideas, opinions, problems,..);
- Working with them (improving critical thinking, hard and soft skills, problem-solving,..);
- Encouraging them (to voice their opinions, express their feelings regarding situations and problems they encounter in our local community,..).
- Providing mobility (giving them a chance to meet Teslic through visiting our local monuments, nature and children and young people);
- Connecting and including children and young people from rural areas in our activities.
With your support, we can continue working with children and young people to create a safe environment, not only for children and young people, but for their parents as well. Every donation will help us continue working with children and young people and encourage them to create a brighter future for all of us. So far, we have organised cooking workshops, baking workshops, embroidery workshops, IT workshops, diplomatic marathons, ecology-related activities, painting, tournaments in table tennis, musical workshops and many more. This is a great opportunity to be a part of this unique journey which young people have took and hopefully will continue to improve every day.
