ROCK YOUR LIFE! Support
Since 2013, the ROCK YOUR LIFE! (RYL!) mentoring program in Switzerland has been helping young people get a successful start in their careers or integrate into society. The program focuses on supporting young people who lack family support, come from difficult socioeconomic backgrounds, and/or have experience as refugees.
In one-to-one mentoring, young adults act as mentors, accompanying and supporting young people in the process of career orientation. The mentors accompany the individual process and promote both self-efficacy and the social skills of the young people through regular individual meetings.
The mentoring
is supported by four training blocks, application workshops, and other offers.
With your commitment, you will support the location team in organizing and conducting events or in supervising mentoring pairs.
Duration of assignment:
- Depending on your availability and by arrangement.
Location:
- Possible throughout Switzerland in: Basel, Bern, Chur, Lucerne, St. Gallen, Zurich, Fribourg, Geneva, Lausanne, and Lugano.
Procedure:
- During an introductory meeting, you will decide together which tasks you are interested in.
Introduction:
- The person responsible for the location (SV) will give you an introduction to your tasks.
Support:
- Support will be provided by the contact person at the location: the person responsible for the location.

ROCK YOUR LIFE! ist eine gemeinnützige Organisation, die sozial benachteiligte Jugendliche und junge Menschen mit Fluchterfahrung dabei unterstützt, einen Platz in unserer Gesellschaft zu finden, Vertrauen in die eigenen Fähigkeiten zu gewinnen und den Einstieg in die Arbeitswelt zu schaffen. Durch eine individuelle 1:1-Mentoring-Beziehung mit einer/einem engagierten Mentor:in als Vertrauensperson stärken die jungen Menschen ihre Selbst-, Sozial-, Sprach- und kulturellen Kompetenzen, um ihren weiteren beruflichen und sozialen Werdegang selbständig und selbstwirksam anpacken zu können. Dank des lokal verankerten Ansatzes mit zehn Standorten in der Schweiz leistet ROCK YOUR LIFE! einen wesentlichen Beitrag zur gesellschaftlichen und beruflichen Teilhabe junger Menschen.
