Opportunity International is looking for a volunteer to provide support with strategic thinking and financial analysis for the development of three year strategic plan. The volunteer will work primarily with Program Directors, who manage implementation of programs in various geographic areas. The focus on strategy with center on growing our programs. The financial analysis includes analysis on costs related to operation and implementation of programs.
- Participate in a virtual discussion with various stakeholders.
- Take notes during discussions and write a summary of findings/input after each discussion using a case study approach.
- Prepare pertinent content for strategic plan including financial projections and analysis
For summary findings, volunteer will get information on the program (pre-read material) and an opportunity to interview Program Directors. Volunteers are encouraged to ask questions and take notes. They should then produce a summary of their understanding of the discussion, which will follow an outline so we cover the same areas on all the discussions.
Milestones
Planning Meeting
Volunteer will participate in initial planning meetings, asking questions and taking notes. Volunteer will provide a meeting summary with key take aways and recommendations.
Program Business Planning Discussions
Volunteer with participate in program business planning discussion and develop a brief of stakeholder input and recommendations.
Fundraising and Admin Business Planning
Volunteer will participate in fundraising and administrative business planning discussions and develop a brief of stakeholder input and recommendations.
