Hello there!  

Homestead Afghanistan is a 501c3 registered in MA and headquartered in Afghanistan.
Our focus is on helping rural Afghan farmers become self-sufficient with a platform of essential activities to improve shelter, sanitation, kitchen gardening, irrigation, improving soils, growing fodder, and raising livestock.  We also intend, and have permission from the authorities, to open the first of many all-girls Farm Schools for Afghan girls from K-12.  

We want to improve our overall Social Media Strategy.
It would be amazing to have a strategy and even connections to some champion content creators who can help extend our reach.

We also need help marketing a fundraiser we have, selling Afghan Saffron on Amazon.
We sourced this saffron in Herat, personally, and it is the best Afghanistan has to offer.  It is grown by a very large and extended family, who employs all (adult) women for the harvesting and cleaning of the saffron.  We custom designed the packaging, and wrapped every tin with colored tissue in beautiful boxes.  We want to build up this brand as a high end product with a social conscience. 25% of all revenues go directly to Homestead's programming.  
Our goal is to build Benefit Spice up so that its revenues support Homestead Afghanistan's activities.  

  • Analysis of existing strategy & processes.
  • Recommendations on which platforms to use. (We have IG, FB, YT)
  • Recommendations on how to build an audience.
  • Recommendations on how to engage with followers.
  • Create content types and templates.
  • Teach us how to implement the above.
  • Create some posts, content, etc

  • A shared folder with:
    • photos and videos we took ourselves 
    • stock photos and videos from freepix premium
    • logos, brand guides, 
  • Access to our social accounts.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud access (if needed)

Milestones

Kick Off Meeting

  • Get to know each other.
  • Explain our mission and purpose.
  • Review existing social presence and strategy.
  • Discuss the scope of the project, deliverables and mutual expectations.

Develop strategy

  • Assess which platforms to use for which audience.
  • Develop content categories & templates.

Teach us

  • How to effectively create posts by using your content templates
  • How to effectively plan and post content
  • How to find and engage with potential followers
  • How to interact with our existing audience

Help Us Build Content/Mentor Local Social Media Hire

Help us put some of these strategies into play, as we work on finding the right person locally to take over these responsibilities.  We have had trouble finding the right person to do this job, and could really use a solid base of some content on our accounts to get us off on the right foot.  Eventually with a plan and some more work finding the right candidates, we would like them to takeover.  In the interim we could really use some regular and high quality, strategic posts.
