Rehabilitation support for cyclone victims in Coastal Tamilnadu, India
A severe cyclonic storm, ‘Gaja’, hit coastal Tamil Nadu on Nov 15, 2018. ´Gaja´ left a trail of destruction with around 50 dead and more than 200,000 people impacted. Once a bountiful and prosperous land dotted with small towns, villages and farmland, that fed the larger part of Tamil Nadu, was left with hands outstretched seeking the basic needs to survive – a roof over their head, clean water, food and power. Fisher folk and farmers, who made up the local residents lost their livelihoods and are unable to rebuild on their own.
While there is a dire need of a variety of resources, we have taken the initiative to help rehabilitate some of the affected
We are going to buid basic housing (huts) for of some of the Victims of the Gaja cyclone (Tamilnadu, India) who have lost their homes and livelihood and can not afford to re-build new homes.
