About the event

Every year, around 80 to 90 million tons of waste are produced in Switzerland.
That's 716 kg of waste per person! Unfortunately, a large portion of this waste is not disposed of or recycled, but ends up in nature. This has aesthetic and economic consequences and harms animals and plants. With the CleanUp event, you can help nature reclaim a piece of wilderness and spend a cool day outdoors.
