Removing invasive plants on nature conservation areas
About the event
Experience the ecosystem and help to keep it healthy!
Bracken fern is plucked/removed on nature conservation areas. Although bracken is a native plant, it often displaces other rare plant species on wet meadows because of its dominance. By plucking the bracken, these species have a chance to grow up again.
Time schedule:
Morning
- Introduction to the topic (nature conservation/bracken) with croissants and coffee
- Work effort: removing bracken
- Lunch at the farm yard (variation of sandwiches)
