About the event
Lead mock interviews for young people in Switzerland
Pro Juventute is dedicated to easing the transition from compulsory schooling to working life for young people in Switzerland. Through the Swiss-wide mock interview program, they support students aged 14-16 in securing apprenticeships by connecting them with company volunteers who offer valuable skills and guidance.
This activity helps students gain confidence and practical experience in job interviews, improving their chances of securing apprenticeships. Volunteers provide tailored feedback and advice, which is crucial in helping these young people navigate the challenging transition to working life.
Length of time volunteering: 1 full day at school + 1/2 day preparation at work
Main tasks:
- Review and annotate students' application files in advance
- Conduct 45-minute mock interviews, offering feedback, tips, and tricks
- Engage in discussions with teachers and other volunteers throughout the day
