Preparation of Emergency Food Bags

About the event

Each week, the Partage Foundation provides several thousand emergency food bags to various social institutions throughout the canton of Geneva.

On a daily basis, Partage collects, sorts, stores, and redistributes unsold goods from Geneva-based food companies and retailers. These goods are then distributed free of charge to a network of beneficiary social institutions.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to help us fill these food bags (currently around 6,000 are prepared per week) with essential items, including dry food products and hygiene items.

Supervised by our staff and in a warm, welcoming atmosphere, we look forward to your support in helping us carry out our mission to combat poverty in Geneva.

This daily collaboration directly supports individuals facing hardship in the canton of Geneva.

Through its work, Partage makes a tangible impact on all three pillars of sustainable development: social, economic, and environmental.

Without the support of volunteers, the success of these missions would simply not be possible.

For Ukraine: we will support any food collections or donations that can be organized, by contributing to the purchase and distribution of foodstuffs for the benefit of affiliated organizations.

The economic crisis linked to COVID-19 has significantly increased poverty levels in Geneva. Thousands of individuals have found themselves in difficult situations, struggling to access adequate nutrition.

Since June 2020, the authorities have mandated Partage to prepare and deliver food bags to distribution sites.
