Hands-On Conservation: Protecting Forest and Stream Ecosystems
About the event
Join us for a day of hands-on conservation work aimed at protecting our vital forest and stream ecosystems. Volunteers will contribute directly to preserving biodiversity by participating in clean-up efforts guided by environmental experts.
Our Swiss forests and stream banks need regular maintenance to support healthy growth and allow the critical process of photosynthesis to occur. This includes removing blackberries and invasive plant species, creating eco-piles from branches, protecting endangered young trees, and removing old grazing guards.
Held outdoors, this event combines practical experience with an opportunity to learn about the importance of maintaining healthy ecosystems. You'll gain insights from experts while actively participating in efforts to protect our natural environment.
Engage with fellow volunteers in meaningful activities, and enjoy a nourishing snack and group feedback session to reflect on the day's achievements.
