Together Against Food Waste – A Volunteering Day with Madame Frigo

Are you interested in a team day that connects, inspires, and creates real impact? We warmly invite you to a Volunteering Day with Madame Frigo – dedicated to the topics of food rescue and resource conservation.

We will begin with a deeper dive into the subject: through an interactive presentation, a quiz, and an open discussion, we will make the issue of food waste tangible and demonstrate how each individual can become part of the solution.

Afterwards, small teams will head outdoors. Your employees will take on the responsibility of checking and cleaning our public refrigerators and their surrounding structures. With this hands-on activity, they will support our dedicated volunteer teams and help ensure that our Frigos are clean and ready to use again. This allows valuable food to be exchanged every day and food waste to be reduced.

Your benefit? An engaging and varied team day with social impact that combines ecological responsibility with practical action – and demonstrates how your company actively embraces community engagement.

Our Volunteering Day can be organized in Zurich, Lucerne, and Bern.

9:05 to 9:50 Presentation and Discussion: Food Waste and the Madame Frigo Project

  • Approximately 30-minute presentation
  • Interactive quiz

  • Short break and division into small groups for the activity

10:05 to 12:00 Frigo Cleaning in Small Groups

  • Inspection and cleaning of public refrigerators
  • Cleaning of fridge units
  • Before-and-after documentation

  • Return to the agreed meeting point

  • Wrap-up session and Food Save Lunch

In collaboration with Ässbar, we offer a Food-Save Catering either at lunch or in the afternoon, following the activity. The catering includes both sweet and savory options, as well as vegetarian choices, all prepared from rescued food.
